- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your primary duties involve ensuring accurate stock levels, maintaining product quality, optimizing warehouse operations, and reporting key performance indicators to oversee inventory movement across all locations.
- You'll gather and assess data to decide on the right order quantities and keep track of consumable item stocks.
- Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs and maximizing available working capital.
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks .
- Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials (SLOB).
- Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
- Preferred qualifications and/or relevant background in inventory management, along with 2-3 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, data analysis, and analytics.
- Previous exposure to a workplace environment focused on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to lean management practices.
- Familiarity with Oracle 11 ERP system, including utilization of pertinent inventory modules.
