About the role

Reporting directly to the CFO, your role will be broad and pivotal to the strategic direction of the Finance Department. You will be principally responsible for leading the finance function and for ensuring effective controls, governance, and accurate reporting to support commercial decision-making. This key leadership role will see you working closely with senior leaders to drive a culture of business partnering in line with their values and mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management of resources.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, capital and special funds, forecasts, and financial reports, providing regular analysis and recommendations to the executive team and board.
  • Ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team, while maximising employee engagement and enablement across the function
  • Deputises for the CFO in their absence
  • Implementing environmental strategies to meet the Women’s environmental sustainability responsibilities and regulatory requirements
  
Skills and Experience

You are CA/CPA qualified and have compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a finance leader ideally within the healthcare environment.  You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven experience managing complex and high-level stakeholder relationships.  You can reason at a conceptual level and drive change, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
  
You are a natural leader with a high degree of integrity, you are comfortable to challenge traditional financial practices to deliver better value for the organisaton and the communities it serves.  You have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships at Board level, and with senior executives and operational stakeholders.
